A very warm welcome to Hole Park, our family home since 1911. We are the fourth generation to care for and cherish these beautiful gardens, both formal and wild, and are delighted to share them with you, your family and your friends – both two and four-legged. We hope they will bring you as much joy when you visit as they give us every day.

Our gardens are renowned for spectacular seasonal displays and we are open from 1st April. In Spring the famous bluebell walk is complemented by breathtaking Magnolias and an abundance of wild garlic. These give way to rich formal border displays in Summer, and then to a riot of woodland colour in Autumn. All year round it is framed by 200-acres of classic parkland, offering far-reaching views of the beautiful Wealden landscape.

We were delighted to receive these fantastic photos from @smarden51 from their recent Tree Festival. They said “Smarden Christmas Tree Festival 2025 organisers were delighted with the 30 x 5’ trees, 3 x 3’ trees and one 8’ tree we got from Hole Park Garden. Supporting local means celebrating together. Our trees are grown right here in the Weald of Kent, close to the East Sussex border and supplied to garden centres, nurseries and businesses big and small across the South East.

We were recently honoured to host the investiture of Dr Who legend and national treasure, actor Tom Baker, with his MBE, awarded for his services to Television in the New Year’s Honours List. A longtime resident of Tenterden, Tom was presented with his MBE by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, Lady Colgrain (left) in our Rolls Room, along side three of the most iconic symbols of his time as the fourth Doctor in the 1970s – namely the famous blue Police Box TARDIS, faithful robot dog K9 and his signature multicoloured scarf. He was also reunited with one of the assistants from his seven seasons (1974-1981) as the Doctor, Louise Jameson (right), who joined the actor’s family and friends to witness the ceremony and celebrate with him over lunch.

The Autumn colour here at Hole Park is offering up beautiful scenery to wander around and, of course, a rich backdrop for photos – and it’s getting better day by day. Don’t forget we are now open on Sundays as well as every Wednesday & Thursday through to 30 October. We’re dog friendly so all the family can enjoy the gardens and woodland. Walking done, enjoy a warm drink, a light lunch or a teatime treat in our Coach House Tearoom.
